Dermal Planing

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, our aestheticians simply abrades the surface of the skin using light feathering strokes. This is a great treatment for our patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin because of the risk that the chemicals will be absorbed into the blood stream. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This hair often causes a buildup of dirt and oils in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the patient healthier looking skin. Dermaplaning is most often used on patients with rough, dry skin, superficial hyperpig-mentation, mild acne scarring, or fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment results in a more refined, smooth, "glowing" appearance.

Sugaring

Body Sugaring is a gentler, safer and truly progressive method of hair removal for all parts of the body. It is effective on all skin types and hair textures for both men and women.

The Sugaring paste is a unique blend of natural ingredients with no chemical additives so there is no fear of any harmful side effects. You will also find that with regular treatments not only is the re-growth of hair much finer and more sparse, but the process itself acts as a skin cleanser.

Waxing

Two types of wax are used by our aesthetician, strip wax and hard wax.

Strip wax is applied in a very thin layer, then a muslin or cloth strip is pressed into it, and the strip is pulled to remove the wax and hair. It can be used on any body part from large areas to precision areas like the brow.

Hard wax, also known as stripless wax, is applied in a thick layer, allowed to set, then removed by pulling on the wax itself. Hard wax is generally used on smaller, sensitive areas such as the brow, lip, bikini and underarm.

Our aestheticians also use the product Nu-free. When it comes to removing unwanted hair, nothing is more effective and safer then Nu-free. Nu-free is the only antimicrobial, anhydrous, non-wax hair removal system in the world. Because it's not a wax, Nu-free never sticks to the skin so you won't experience a lot of discomfort, redness or swelling of typical wax treatments...only silky smooth skin.
